Academic coursework is provided online through our partnership with Bluefield University.

Students will receive an award-winning, online education through Bluefield University with a cohort style of learning environment. Students are given the opportunity to collaborate and learn how to build a team. Each student will have an Peer Advisor who will assist the student with the academic coursework, help with the understanding of content, encouraging assistance, and empowering accountability.

Each student will have the opportunity for hands-on ministry experiences with their Host Church. HFC offers leadership development workshops with various Highlands staff members and special guests. You will also discover and follow a “Ministry Track” for where God has called you and equipped you to serve and lead. Here are the Ministry Practicum areas which HFC students will participate in with Ministry Coaches: HF Kidz

Each student will have a:
Ministry Coaches - give guidance, coaching, and practical experience in the students Ministry Track
Mentor (chosen by the student) - ensure that the student is becoming the disciple of Christ that they are called to be.
Peer Advisor - tutoring, facilitating, and encouraging the students in their academic coursework.
Cohort Group to provide fellowship, group support and academic success strategies.
Weekly Ministry Experience Sunday church activities and weekly ministry assignments with Highlands Fellowship and network partners

What led you to choose HFCollege over any other college? Mike Rush. He has cheered me on and encouraged me in ways that he might never understand. I also love the practical aspect that is involved alongside the academic experience.

What has been a favorite moment so far at HF College? Engaging with my peers. I do not get to do it often, so when those opportunities arise, they are my favorite.

How has HF College impacted your life? HF College has helped me realize that a college degree is possible at any age. Going back to school gave me a new purpose and sense of value that is often lost as we get older.

What led you to choose HF College over any other college? HFCollege made the transition back to college seamless. The helpful and encouraging leaders and mentors helped take the fear out of applying to school as they walked beside me through the entire process.
