Day 4 - Where's your hope?
The first week of advent is all about hope. In the Old Testament, the people of God were in darkness for so long (hundreds of years!), but there was always a glimmer of hope.
Maybe you find yourself in a similar place today. No one is immune from heartache, loss, and grief. We all experience times in our lives when it seems like nothing is working the way it should; that's where hope comes in to play.
Hope is the anchor for our soul (Hebrews 6:19); it's what keeps us from drifting out to sea when the storm is raging around us. In hours of darkness in our lives, hope may be all that way have.
The good news of Christmas is that hope now has a name. Jesus is our hope. His life and ministry on earth was about bringing hope to those who walked in darkness. Let's celebrate that hope throughout the Christmas season and share it with others!
