Pursuit is a process

Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. - Matthew 22:37-38

This past weekend Pastor Mark shared an incredible message on how we can grow deeper in our relationship with God. If you missed his message, you can find it here

Growing deeper in our relationship with God is a process that takes time. We live in a fast-paced world that offers us instant information (Google) and same-day delivery (Amazon Instant), but most things in life that have real value take time to come to fruition.

Jesus spoke in parables to his disciples about seeds, soil, and the faith that it takes to move mountains. We (much like the disciples) want to skip the process and get the results instantly. But loving God is more about the process than the outcome. The Bible reminds us that God is working things for our good and His glory, even when we can't see the end result; our calling is to love God with all that we have.

At Highlands Fellowship, we are committed to providing tools and resources to help you grow spiritually. Our newest opportunity is called Growth Track 201. Growth Track is a series of gatherings and classes (online and offline) that are designed to help you get connected to the body of Christ (the church) and grow deeper in your relationship with God (discipleship). You can be a part of Growth Track 201 from anywhere in the world at any time of the day because it is all online. We have created video conversations, written material, and discussion guides that will walk you through the process of growing deeper in your relationship with God. If we are going to grow deeper in our relationship with God, it is going to take time. The good news is that you don't have to do it alone; there is a community here that is ready to assist you along your journey.
